IT jobs in Dubai World

The following vacancies have become available within the Information
Technology Centre of Dubai World:

1. IT Service Continuity Coordinator:

Reporting to the Data Centre Support Manager the main key
accountabilities are:

Accountable for developing, deploying and maintaining the IT Service
Continuity Management process
Responsible for ensuring that the efficiency and effectiveness of the
IT Service Continuity Management process is regularly reviewed and
audited, and is subjected to continuous improvement and remain fit for
purpose
Develop and manage the IT Service Continuity Management Plan to
ensure that, at all times, the recovery objectives of the business can
be achieved.
Ensure that all IT Service areas are prepared and able to respond to
an Invocation of the Continuity plans.
Maintain a comprehensive IT testing schedule.
Undertake quality reviews of all procedures and ensure that these are
incorporated into the testing schedule.
Communicate and maintain awareness of IT Service Continuity
Management objectives within the business areas supported and IT
Service areas.
Undertake regular reviews, at least annually, of the Continuity plans
with the business areas to ensure that they accurately reflect the
Business processing Environment.
Negotiate and manage contracts with providers of third party recovery
services.
Co-ordinate with the crisis control team and manage IT Service
delivery during times of crisis including
Recovery site management and Invocate of the appropriate recovery facilities
Resource management, direction and arbitration plus.

Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in an IT related subject
· Minimum of 10 years work experience in an IT services organization
· 2-3 years of work experience as a Service Continuity
manager or in a similar position
· ITIL Certified.
· Good IT technical knowledge to enable quality assurance of
procedures to be undertaken
· Excellent understanding of the Service Continuity
Management process
· Possess practical experience of process management and the
ability to translate business recovery requirements into technical
requirements and specifications
· Possess practical experience of continuous improvement
methods and techniques, with reasonable numeric skills and statistical
analysis.
· Project management skills for scheduling and resource allocation
· Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills for
written, oral and face to face communications.
· Possess skills in influencing and negotiation methods and
techniques

2. Change and Release Manager

Reporting to the Data Centre Support Manager the main key
accountabilities are:

§ Reviews, classifies, prioritizes the changes across
different dimensions

§ Defines standard changes to delegate responsibility.

§ Analyses and approves the minor changes

§ Identifies the Change Advisory Board (CAB) members based
on Change, informs members and chairs the CAB meetings

§ Defines the change owners, project managers and
participates in change scheduling

§ Resolves or escalates the conflicts in change
implementation across departments

§ Monitors performance of change implementation throughout
milestones and reports to the CAB members

§ Keeps requestor and affected customers up to date about
change status

§ Reviews and documents the impact and success of change
after implementation

§ Initiates fall-back in case of failure, receiving approval
of CAB members, if involved

§ Creates and manages a complete and up-to-date definitive
software library (DSL) and a definitive hardware store (DHS).

§ Develops and maintain a release policy defining how and
when releases are configured
§ Managing all activities of release management process as
per ITIL best practices.
§

Experience and Qualifications

§ Bachelor's degree in an IT related subject with ITIL Certificate.
§ Minimum of 10 years work experience in an IT services
organization out of which 2-3 years work experince as a Change Manager
in a similar position
§ Extensive IT Industry experience and good
business/commercial knowledge to evaluate business importance of
changes
§ Possess practical experience of process management and the
ability to understand how the IT technology supports the business
§ Excellent understanding of hardware and software
interactions and ability to perform impact and risk analysis.
§ Project management skills for scheduling and resource allocation
§ Possess skills in influencing and negotiation methods and
techniques and excellent report writing & interpersonal skills for
written, oral and face to face communications.

3. Vendor and Contracts Manager

Reporting to the Request and Configuration Manager the main key
accountabilities are:

§ Develop and organize contract requirements from IT perspective.

§ Work closely with Subject Matter Experts and vendors to
identify performance indicators in IT Contracts to ensure the
effectiveness and efficiency of vendor services.

§ Assist in the preparation and completion of IT contracts
in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

§ Review and negotiate contracts to meet contractual obligations.

§ Ensure all vendor activities are logged on the Service
Desk tool for reporting and auditing purposes.

§ Review and monitor the compliance of vendors for services
and maintenance work performed with the agreement terms.

§ Work in conjunction with vendors and respective
beneficiaries to continuously improve vendor services being offered.

§ Report to management on key metrics as provided by the vendors.

§ Ensure contracts are renewed on time, and notify customers
and partners of renewal and/or cancellation of contracts.

Experience and Qualifications:

§ Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or associated
discipline.

§ Minimum of 7 years experience in an IT service organization.

§ 2-3 years experience in handling vendor issues within a
large and complex organization.

§ Knowledge of purchasing and finance processes and methods
used within the IT industry with proven vendor management experience
and exposure.

§ Good communication skills in English (Arabic desirable).

§ Good negotiation skills

§ Cost consciousness.

§ ITIL certification is a plus.
